All the Gear, but no Idea?

At this time of year it’s very easy to justify putting equipment upgrades on your Christmas list in the hope it will improve your photography…

However, no-one wants to be accused of having ‘all the gear and no idea’ so, maybe the money would be better spent upgrading your skills, rather than your gear?

Jean Ragnotti / Martin Holmes - Renault 5 Turbo: Lombard RAC Rally 1981

This picture was taken on the first roll of film I ever put in my first 35mm camera - a Pentax ME Super I received for my birthday a very long time ago!

The picture was taken using the ‘standard’ lens - in manual mode and with manual focus - but I had learned my craft first!

The latest most expensive professional camera body would have made little or no difference to this image…

…So, do you really need that latest £2,000+ Mirrorless Camera, or the latest £1,000+ lens?

Or would a £200 Photography Coaching Gift Voucher make more difference to EVERY picture you take from now on?

So why not add a Lakeland Photo / Photography Coaches Gift Voucher to your Christmas list instead?

The beauty of this as a gift is that the giver doesn’t need to know what equipment you already have or what you want and need, your current skill level, or even what you like to photograph, as you can use it however you like:

  • Towards a one-to-one experience where you can get help photographing whatever you like to shoot, using your equipment.

  • Towards a Group Workshop on a specific subject - or maybe just learn more about your camera and photographic techniques

  • Towards a Private Group Experience - where you can share the experience with family and/or friends

  • You can even use the monetary ones towards a photo-shoot, if you prefer a professional to take the pictures for you!

All our gift vouchers are valid for bookings made within 12 months of purchase*

(*the event can be beyond that, as long as it’s actually booked within the year)
